Today is World Emoji Day and to celebrate, we’ve put together a sequence of Emojis to see if you can decipher what they say.

Created back in 1998 by a Japanese phone engineer named Shigetaka Kurita, when working on a way for customers to communicate through icons. The result was a set of 176 icons called Emoji, and was designed to add emotional context to flat text.

The name Emoji combines two Japanese words: e (picture) and moji (character). Amazingly, there are more than 1800 Emojis available.

Okay, history lesson over. Take a look at what our cryptic Emoji sequence actually means.
